The 24th of August, our Scottish pilot, enroute to the Norne field, took photos of this "Kuznetsov" carrier and "Kirov." It was 70NM west of Brønnøysund. Carriers rarely leaves the home waters without at least a unit of each type covering the carrier. Very nice catch! - not everyday you get to take a snapshot of the Admiral Kuznetsov :D . The Kirov-class vessel is the "Pyotr Velikiy"("Peter the Great") - pennant # "099" :) . Cheers, - JJ. Yes and depending on the nature of the manouvers, the Admiral Kuznetsov would also travel with several other surface vessels - apart from the "Pyotr Velikiy"(Kirov-class), also the "Marshal Ustinov"(Slava-class), the "Besstrashny" (Sovremenny-class), "Dnestr" (Boris Chilikin-class) , "Admiral Levchenko" and "Severomorsk"(both Udaloy-class).
