Ka-52 really looks like strike heli of 21st century - very badass I mean.

Looks even more badass then Ka-50 imho.

The Ka-52 is a command version of the Ka-50. The guy in the second seat is alla bout giving orders and directing the battle - the 52 would thus be less likely to be up front blowing things up.

btw, i got about 10,000 + pages of most aircraft in the world, it shows you detailed specs, weapons, combat action etc etc, and took me about 4 years to collect.

real good collection, i am now trying to put them online, but scanning gonna take another 4 years todo :P once i have did so and got them all in order, as there is roughly about 10 pages per aircraft, I will put them online for people to view/download, but its a longterm project and will take a goodwhile to finish.

Its a shame that this bird wont fly for the russian force. They chose the mi-28 which is in my opionion the most ugly helicopter in the world ! But it have a higher armor protection than the ka-50 and is cheaper i think.

I think they are manufacturing Ka-50 (in very small numbers, though), but I'm not sure they chose the all-weather version between Ka-50N, Ka-52 or Mi-28N. I think Ka-50N is scrapped because it's too much pressure on single pilot. Anyway, things might change now that the oil prices are high and Russia got hold of some money.

I can see one particular problem with Mi-28N or Ka-52. They both advertise a milimeter wavelength radar but there are no missiles which would use them to their full potential like Longbow Hellfire does.

i386DX40@42 MHz w/i387 CP, 4 MB RAM (8*512 kB), Trident 8900C 1 MB w/16-bit RAMDAC ISA, Quantum 340 MB UDMA33, SB 16, DOS 6.22 w/QEMM + Win3.11CE, Quickshot 1btn 2axis, Numpad as hat. 2 FPH on a good day, 1 FPH avg.

DISCLAIMER: My posts are still absolutely useless. Just finding excuses not to learn the F-14 (HB's Swansong?).

This is Russia.

You can guarantee that someone somewhere has a millimetre-wave seeker ready to bolt onto a Vikhr or similar for when they'll get the funding ;)
