Red Hammer
I hear there is a new version of R-73 is called R-73M2 is operating on the Su-27. It has a longer range of 30km. Could ED possibly add it on? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Kusch
http://www.bharat-rakshak.com/IAF/Aircraft/Missiles/R-73.html "An improved version, designated R-73RDM2, has an up-rated rocket motor giving twice the range and seeker sensitivity of the earlier model under typical combat conditions. It can also be fired rearward to protect the rear hemisphere of the launching aircraft." This would be cheating, let's give a chance F-15 :D Give me "flying telephone pole" (SA-2)! Pilotasso
This would be cheating, let's give a chance F-15 :D 1) the AIM-9 ingame has half the range of the real thing anyway. 2)Thus its rarely even used. 3)LAst time I checked reward missiles had been cancelled. 4) the missile has never been seen, not even mockups. I have always found cute how the DEV's come with the figure of 8Km for the sidwinder when all my literature clearly says 8 Miles. The change from imperial units to metric units effectively cuts range by 60%. There are AIM-9 kills documented from rear aspect against retreating targets several times, but here you have to be nose to tail at point blank range. Might as well use the cannon.
