Check if the files in config folder are "read only" or check if your change has taken effect. Please check those also: optimisations (probable cause). object density settings. And guys, please stop freaking out and uninstall the game at first problem. It will not help you find the solution, it will just make the problem go away till next time. The game consists in a bunch of files thrown in a folder with some config files (easy to screw up :) ), some registries AFAIK with no relation with the graphic settings and some files in "program files" that (again) AFAIK has no meaning to the graphic or whatever settings. All sits in the config files. If necesary I give my own just for a test. This "Format C:" solutions is realy.... unprofessional, no offence. P.S. I almost forgot... What did you do before the problem appeared?
