Hello,

so after Joe Kurr told me about this event i went there today. This event is held on a belgian AirForce Base and its more like "open door day" than a usual airshow. Jets take off for excerises and besides there were very much jets on display.

So after arriving in Kleine Brogel ( USAF have B-61`s there ) we went to the parking area and then to the entrance. First thing we had to do is to fill out a sheet with some personal data. After stadning and waiting in line to get the entry tickets ( 20 Euro ) we were in. While we were wating for the tickets some F-16s took off shaking the whole space. Awesome !

I used a "noob" 5 Megapixel cam for this pics. So dont flame me for quality issues :D I have resized them from 1600x1200 to 1024x768. If you want some hi-res versions of certain jets, PM me. I have more pics than this.

So first thing we saw were some jets and helos:

here a F-22 Killer:

Some helos:

So we went further and there it was. The tarmac with a nice jet lineup:

On the opposite site were some more helos and a "civilian jet":

While coming back from the office (on my bicycle) I’ve spotted about 10 F-16’s flying over direction Brussels about 130km from Kleine Brogel.

Compared after the thunder-storm which passed over yesterday morning including a couple of mini tornado’s (not the plane :D) the weather was relative good.

I hope to be there next time.

Nice shots!

BTW, about 265 B-61`s over there!

There is a guy in this forums who unfortunately couldnt make it to the show today because he had other stuff to do.

I know he is a fanboi of a certain jet.

The KB team have succeeded in organizing yet another excellent spotters day.

This was the ninth time I visited the airbase, and it's still getting better, although it's getting more commercial as well.

It was really great to meet Groove, and have another face behind a name :)

Anyway, here are some pics I made:

A Belgian Alouette II coming in to land just behind us

The Operational Conversion Unit (OCU) had its 20th anniversary, which they celebrate with a very nice tail

Around 10:10, the QRA flight was scrambled. Notice the live Sidewinders and AMRAAMs!

A French Alpha Jet also visited the event, but didn't take part in any mission

Yet another special tail, this one from 1 Sqn at Florennes Airbase

More to come :)
