pappavis
Does anyone know the max effective range of a MLRS, M-109, Smerch and/or artillarys units? Could you please specify that in a table laout? It seems that a MLRS has a range of about 15km while artillary unit M-109 has a 20km range which is much lower than the G6 gun developed in South Africa http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/land/row/g6.htm Anu more info about max ranges in lo-mac whill be welcomed. met vriendelijke groet, Михель "умный, спортсмен, комсомолетс" [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] [TABLE]SPECS: i9-9900K 32gigs RAM, Geforce 2070RTX, Creative XFi Fata1ity, TIR5, Valve Index & HP Reverb, HOTAS Warthog, Logitech G933 Headset, 10Tb storage.[/TABLE]

pappavis
http://forums.ubi.com/eve/ubb.x/a/tpc/f/99610606/m/956103725/r/160106825#160106825 I posted some info last year in a UBI forum thread (see above) hope it helps... Thanks, to you quote direct form that ubi forum. 2) How far away from the target were the guns/rockets? I'm pretty sure they have a minimum range (dont know what though) as well as maximum range. Smersh 70km Grad 20km SAU Gvodzika 15nm SAU Berg 18nm SAU Msta 15nm SAU Akatsia 15nm MLRS 31km M-109 15nm Firing rates: Gvozdika - 6 rnds per min Akatsia - 4 rnds per min Msta - 8 rnds per min Bereg - 10 rnds per min Nona - 8 rnds per min Beware - Nona has really short max range I think less than 6km. As long as they have passed an attack waypoint (with target set up etc. etc) they will fire on the move, so if you want you could put them on a road say 10 km away moving slowly toward the target co-ords. Or off-road so yo can see the dust of them moving to make even easier to spot them. NOTE that Smersh, Grad, MLRS will not fire on the move, they will only fire when halted. I have been unable to make them fire then move again, but they will move to a position then fire. So to sum up all that this thread seems to have deduced, if you want some arty to bombard a town/airfield to add colour to a mission, 1) target a co-ord, so arty keep firing. If you target a building, once destroyed then the arty stops firing. 2) if your arty all in one group, then have same number of targets to ensure each arty in the group has a target to fire at. 3) if you mix the arty types (bereg, msta, nona, etc) then they fire at different rates and looks nicer Smile Thanks, this was the information which i needed :). met vriendelijke groet, Михель "умный, спортсмен, комсомолетс" [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] [TABLE]SPECS: i9-9900K 32gigs RAM, Geforce 2070RTX, Creative XFi Fata1ity, TIR5, Valve Index & HP Reverb, HOTAS Warthog, Logitech G933 Headset, 10Tb storage.[/TABLE]

Range in 155s is dependent on Ammunition and barrel calibre. Its 20km+ and there are many ammunition types that can be used. http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/land/155.htm [sIGPIC] [/sIGPIC]
